The Hi-Five

Project

The Hi-Five is a monthly greeting card subscription box from 1canoe2. I was the project manager and designer for each kit which included: five greeting cards, a custom mailer envelope, a postcard, coordinating pen, and occasional freebie (e.g., a postcard, recipe card, sticker sheet, and paper photo frame). Each month, I designed and curated all components - working with the manufacturer to create print assets. I worked independently on this project to set priorities, delegate tasks, and find creative solutions for each kit.

EXCLUSIVE CARDS To keep up with the demand of providing five new and relevant cards each month, I developed our Hi-Five Exclusive Cards program and later a Featured Designer program. These designs used existing artwork or reimagined existing cards. For the Featured Designer program, I hand selected cards from other independent greeting card companies and coordinated a wholesale purchase and a handwritten note from the designer to include in the kit. After the acquisition by Inked Brands, we moved away from the Exclusive Cards program and instead I designed and painted 2-3 new cards for each monthly kit that were also released to our e-commerce site.
